Carboxymethyl Starch referred to as CMS for Drilling Fluid is water soluble product after alkalization of starch and etherification of chloracetic acid. It can effectively control filtration loss of fresh water and salt water drilling fluids. It has the characteristics of being easily degradable. azymic, and little influence on rheology behavior.
