Water-soluble Viscosity Reducer
The major component is surfactants. Through decreasing the interfacial tension between oil and water, the emulsified state of heavy oil changes from w/o to o/w, the viscosity of oil decreases significantly and thus the oil-production efficiency is increased.
ü It can emulsify many kinds of crude oil, decrease the interfacial tension between oil and water, and decrease the oil viscosity with good universality.
ü The emulsion can release the water phase after some time, and will not affect the following gel-breaking and water-removing operation.
ü The additive dosage can be as low as 0.05%. The viscosity reducing ratio can be up to 99%.
USAGE:
• It is mainly applied in heavy oil production. It can decrease the viscosity of crude oil in lifting and pipeline transportation, decrease the oil flow resistance, making the heavy oil to be easily produced and transported. The additive dosage is usually 0.1%-1% of the produced liquid.
• It can be used for reducing viscosity and removing blocking. For wells without steam stimulation, it is added 3-5% of the viscosity-reducing agent. The total amount of viscosity-reducing agent can be determined based on the oil well data. For well of large water output, the concentration should be increased appropriately. After injection of the product into the well, the well should be shut down for 12-24 hours before operating. For the steam-injection wells, the product can be added ahead of the steam injection. It can extend the oil production cycle and enhance the oil recovery.
