PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) coating powder melt and flow during heating to provide nonporous films, providing higher continuous use temperatures (260°C [500°F]), having a high dielectric strength, and are considered tougher than PTFE while keeping the chemical resistance properties.

The couplings are internally coated with PFA which could maintain stable performance in high temperature and pressure wells while have a high dielectric strength, lower coefficient of friction and better wear resistance than PTFE.
